The Great Plains Chapter of the BMW Car Club of America will be attending the Ice Cream Cruise this year!
Presented by 1320Video, RPM Powersports, and Stereo West Auto Toys, Ice Cream Cruise is one of the largest, and certainly the fastest growing, car-enthusiast event in the Midwest. Consisting of a massive Show-and-Shine event on Saturday, and an enormously popular Drag Strip event on Sunday, this event brings together all kinds of cool cars and car enthusiasts. If you like cars, you MUST NOT MISS this event!
For an overview of the event, and its unprecedented growth, please take a look at this video of last year’s event:
GPC BMW Club, and anyone else interested in attending with us, will meet up in advance and caravan a short distance to the event so we can arrive at the same time and park together. This will allow us to have a “home base” at an event that is likely to include 3000-5000 cars.
The plan is to gather at 1:00-1:15 pm on Saturday, August 9 in the Shadow Lake Towne Center shopping center on Highway 370 in Papillion. From Highway 370, go South on Towne Center Parkway (at the traffic light at the bottom of the hill between S 72nd St and S 84th St). From there, turn Left at the 1st Stop Sign, and then turn Right into the first entrance to the parking lot on the right. We will gather in the parking lot at the west end of the shopping center, across the access road from the First National Bank, Taco Bell, and Hy-Vee Gas Station (all located along the western perimeter of the shopping center).
For those who would like to arrive at Shadow Lake Towne Center early, there is plenty to do. Wheatfields is one of the best breakfast and lunch places around, Chocolaterie Stam has the best coffee, chocolates, and gelato ever, and the Nebraska Brewing Company continues to win awards for it’s beers at all of the high-profile, national brewing competitions.
We plan to depart from our gathering spot in Shadow Lake Towne Center at 1:30 PM and drive the 4 miles to the Ice Cream Cruise at Werner Park. Given the unpredictable growth of this event, please be prepared for a wait to get into Werner Park once we arrive. That being said, there is no doubt that it will be worth it!
This has become the event that every car enthusiast in the Midwest wants to go to. Don’t be left out!
RSVP: Please RSVP to: firstname.lastname@example.org with the number of cars and number of people attending.
We look forward to seeing you, and your car!
