President – Dave Gannon

 

Get to know Dave...

Dave has been a member of the BMW Car Club of America since 1985 when he bought his first BMW–a new 1985 325e. He has owned, and enthusiastically driven, a BMW 2002 and three E30 BMWs–a 325e, a 325iX, and an M3. His current BMW is a pristine 1988 Henna Red E30 M3 which serves as his road trip car and provides him with endless amusement at club driving events.

After spending most of his life in New England, Dave and his cars transferred to the Great Plains Chapter in 2009. Other hobbies include homebrewing and beer hunting. In order to finance his hobbies, Dave works at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

Vice President – Ben Kerwood

Get to know Ben...

Ben has been a BMW Club member since 2003. A factory trained BMW technician, Ben worked for BMW dealerships in both Lincoln and Omaha before going out on his own and starting European Auto Tech. Ben’s BMW fleet is filled with several desirable cars. These days an immaculate 2016 M4 gets most of the attention. Numerous Dinan upgrades make the car a beast.

Secretary – Chet Dawes

Get to know Chet...

Chet has been a BMW Car Club member since 2000 and transplanted from the Motor City Chapter to the Missouri Valley Chapter in 2007. After 8 years as an engineer in the automotive industry, he and his family returned to Nebraska where he works for Hexagon Lincoln. His BMW stable currently includes a 2006 330i ZHP, X5 4.8i and a classic 911 (we don’t hold that against him). With a passion for all things motorsport related, Chet is an avid road racing fan and can usually be found at club track events throughout the region.

Member at Large – Jeff Gomon

Get to know Jeff...

Jeff has been a BMW Car Club member since September of 1991. His first BMW was a Diamond Black 85′ 325e four door that got him hooked. Stationed in Virginia Beach, VA while serving in the US Navy, he was a very active member of the Tidewater Chapter.

In 1996, after a 10 year military career in Naval Aviation, he returned home to Lincoln with his wife and daughter to work at Duncan Aviation. His second BMW is an Alpine White/Black leather 1991 ///M5 that he purchased in Feb. of 99′ with only 30k miles. As of Jan 1, 2011, the M5 has clocked 107k miles since its 8/90 production date. In Oct 2008, a CPO 2005 X5 4.4i, which replaced a 1991 VW GTI, joined the M5 in the garage. In the summer of 2011 a 2002 was added to the fleet.  As of Sept 2014, a 2005 Imola Red 330ci ZHP began handling all daily driving duties.

He was previously the chapter president and is currently the South Central Regional Vice President for the BMW CCA.

Social Events Coordinator – Lori Dawes

Get to know Lori...

Lori (the other half of Dawes Motorsports) has been a BMW Car Club member since 2000 when she purchased her first new car (a 2000 323i Sedan) which she still drives and remains fiercely loyal to.The 323i sedan has been replace by an X5. She also owns two BMW pedal cars and with three boys in the house has decided she might as well join them in pursuit of all things motorsport related.With a love of event planning, she became Social Coordinator in 2011.

Information Technology Coordinator – Tarun Kundhi

Get to know Tarun...

Tarun has been a BMW Car Club member since 1996. At the time he drove an E30 325i. That wasn’t his first BMW. In college he and some buddies bought an E21 320i at an auction. Since then there have been many different model in the Kundhi fleet. Presently there are still too many cars in fit in the garage. Tarun enjoys instructing at BMW High Performance Driving Schools. Hobbies beyond cars and motorsports include audio equipment and all thing tech.
